Background

This project will network farmers, agronomists, provincial specialists and researchers to evaluate cropping systems intensification using cover crops to manage extreme moisture conditions in Manitoba.

Objectives

  1. Quantify the ability of overwintering cover crops to dry soils prone to extreme moisture in the fall and the spring
  2. Evaluate management practices for direct seeding cash crops into living cover crops.
