Prairie Spring Wheat Yield Enhancement Network (YEN)

The Prairie Spring Wheat Yield Enhancement Network (YEN) program is a collaborative initiative led by Manitoba Crop Alliance (MCA) and Manitoba Agriculture. The program’s goals are to close the wheat yield gap and identify what factors are limiting wheat yields in Manitoba.

The YEN program uses on-farm data, weather data and farmer management practices to estimate yield potential and understand what factors influence production. The program also strives to develop a peer-to-peer network where on-farm learnings can be shared between participants.
