Soil water dynamics in long-term integrated crop rotation studies

Crop Types
  • Whole Farm
Collaborating Locations

Background

Intensive moisture measurements and monitoring will be incorporated into existing crop rotation studies at the University of Manitoba.

Objectives

  1. Gain understanding of how different cropping systems affect water use and water available for crop growth
  2. Understand how cover crops affect water use and water available for crop growth
  3. Understand how short-term perennial plantings and biennial crops affect water use and water available crop growth.
