Background

The purpose of this project is to understand issues, identify common obstacles and seek opportunities to strengthen and create long-term economic sustainability in the feed supply relationship between the crop production and livestock sectors in Manitoba.

Objectives

  1. Better data for deed production usage, exports and imports;
  2. Understanding of marketing tools, price discovery mechanisms and price supply assurance tools for small markets;
  3. Update of the broader feed industry dynamic as related to the obstacle of locally sourced feed grains.
