CDC Triffid Testing Protocols Terminated
Manitoba Crop Alliance works closely with industry partners to build relationships and collaborative opportunities. Through these industry relationships and discussions with farmer members, MCA has prioritized the importance of eliminating the CDC Triffid testing protocol on Canadian flax being exported into the EU, which has been in place since 2009. It has been over 13 years since any CDC Triffid has been identified in any Canadian shipments destined for the EU. The termination of the testing protocol is great news for Canadian flax farmers and exporters and will hopefully lead to improved international trade of Canadian flax.
