Validation of several genes involved in stress related pathways regulated by waterlogging in contrasting barley genotypes
Crop Types
- Barley
Collaborating Locations
AAFC BrandonBackground
This project investigated the gene expression of several barley varieties when under waterlogging stress.
Research Results
This experiment has generated a valuable dataset of thousands of potential candidate genes which will help characterise the barley response to waterlogging. The dataset will become more powerful for breeders as the knowledge of the barley genome advances.
Related Production Resources
Manitoba Crop Alliance’s production resources provide reliable agronomic information based on the latest research. Our resources have been developed to help farmers make productive and sustainable decisions on their farms throughout the growing season.
