Spring Wheat Variety Trials

Trial Information

The purpose of this project is to compare the agronomic and economic impacts of new CWRS varieties that have been released within the last 2 years.

  • The grower will plant their normal CWRS (AAC Brandon or Starbuck preferred) variety along with a maximum of two other CWRS varieties that have been released within the last two years.
  • The grower will manage their crop as per their normal best management practices.
  • The grower will seed each variety in alternating strips in the field so that each variety has 4 strips in total.
  • Strips should be full length of the field (minimum 1000 ft.) and width to allow for a full “pure pass with combine header.
