Background

The objective of the project is to complete the sixth set of weed surveys in the Prairie Provinces since the series of provincial surveys began in the mid 1970s.

The survey provides information on the abundance and distribution of weed species in major annual crops including spring wheat, durum, barley, oats, corn, canola, soybean.f alx, mustard peas and lentils.

Objectives

  1. Summarize existing weed survey information;
  2. Conduct a new series of general weed surveys in the Prairie provinces.
