Great beer starts with great barley, and great malt barley takes a lot of work to produce. In this video, Sheila and Jeff Elder talk about the challenges and rewards of growing top-quality malt barley, while emphasizing the teamwork that takes place across the agricultural value chain.

Manitoba Crop Alliance was proud to work with Bell Media over the summer to produce this video featuring wheat and barley crop committee delegate Sheila Elder and her husband, farmer member Jeff Elder. The Elders grow wheat, barley, canola and soybeans on their farm near Wawanesa, MB.

Through this partnership with Bell Media, MCA can connect with consumers and end-use customers to share information on how they can use the products produced by the crops we represent. Sharing factual, science-based knowledge is very important to MCA.
